Share Your CBS Story Become A Monthly Donor

Come and see what happens in people's lives when they discover God through the study of His Word. Our class meets weekly on Thursdays from 9:15-11:15 AM (Washington County, PA beginning Sept. 3, 2026) during the school year. We also offer a Tuesday AM In-Person Class (Wheeling, WV beginning Sept. 8th) and a Tuesday PM Class (Online Only beginning Sept. 8th). Each class participant receives a course book with a commentary and home study questions. Each week you'll participate in small group discussions and large group teaching. We also have monthly fellowships which provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class. Additional details can be found below.

We also offer a children's ministry for birth thru kindergarten age children at our Washington County class. If you would like to inquire about registering your child/children, please contact our Coordinator, Becky Hummer, at beckyhummer@gmail.com for further information.

GENESIS

From the beginning, God spoke and he's still speaking to us today. Genesis is the book of beginnings, the place where we rediscover the God who formed creation with purpose and breathed life into humanity with love.

Explore the book of Genesis as it reveals a God who is faithful, even when we are not. A God who still invites us to trust him. The God who has always been faithful and who will make all things new.

COLOSSIANS

How can we fight against the worldly ideas that lure our minds away from God? Paul instructed the Colossians to not be merely familiar wiht Jesus' words, but rather to let those words live inside them as followers of Christ.

Dive into the book of Colossians as we deepen our understanding of Jesus as Lord of all his people, the role of the church, and what it means to live in a community as those who are hidden in Him.

Next Gen Ministry

Through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts, worship, games, and other activities, we seek to provide a welcoming and engaging environment where the next generations can learn about Jesus. CBS's offerings are tailored to a child’s developmental stage, starting with babies, and going through high school. Beginning in our elementary classes, our curriculum can be aligned with an adult class so that parents and their children may study the same Book of the Bible, enabling parents additional opportunities to assist their children in living out God’s truths in their lives. The following children's programs are available at our Washington County, PA location:
